¶ Introduction
With the introduction of race tracks and the growing interest to do cart racing, when is there a better time to introduce blind carting to Tall Tails then during the Week Of Madness?
Drivers and ponies must work together as a team, with the driver skilfully directing the trusting pony.
So grab a blindfolded pony, strap them to a cart and beat the competition!
Blindfold carting practice is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED! before the event.
¶ How Will The Event Work?
¶ The Cart
Each team will be provided with a competition cart.
Wheel guards have been added to protect the blind pony… and a plasma system has also been added to create a particle trail for the spectators to enjoy.
¶ Blindfold + Control
Next to the race track, there is a vendor for both:
Aida Beorn's Blind Carting Hud 1.0 Release and
Ana Lacroix's free AnaTekk Blindfold 1.0
Though any carting direction system can be used the AnaTekk blindfold provided MUST be used by all ponys to ensure fairness for all participating. If you already have an AnaVision based blindfold that is allowed too but it should be accessible to the race officials.
¶ Race System
The race system we will be using is the Marine's Race System.

¶ The Competition
The race will be split into 3 rounds.
Round 1 will determine the contestants positions in the next 2 rounds.
Round 2 will be race with positions determined by the previous round.
Round 3 will be a race with the positions reversed.
At the end of the 3 rounds, everyone's finishing positions from all the rounds will be scored and calculated by the race Officials. Once this is complete the winners will be announced.
¶ When & Where is it Happening?
The event will be taking place on Tuesday 31/05/2022 at 12PM SLT, during the Week of Madness at Tall Tails. We will be using the central platform at the Sky Training Platforms. The track will be available to practice on some time after the Sound of Silence Event.
¶ How Can I Take Part?
Team up with a pony or trainer and turn up to the event.
It is open to all.
Finding a partner and practicing blind carting before the event is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!
¶ Competition Rules
- All teams must use a competition sulky that will be provided at the event
- For blinding, all ponies must use the free AnaTekk blindfold (which is based off AnaVision) or an AnaVision based blindfold accessible to the race officials. A copy of the free blindfold is available at the event. RLV must be enabled in the viewer and viewer must be a recent version with support for vision spheres.
- All blindfolds will be RLV locked and checked by race officials, ponies may be asked to show a screenshot of their screen to verify blindness, using “Gyazo” or a similar picture sharing service is sufficient
