¶ Introduction
Art can capture some of the most amazing things, especially times when we get completely bonkers! We wish to call on you all again for our forth Week of Madness celebrations. Help us host another exhibition so that our members can show off their talents and feelings as we move into our fifth year.
¶ Where are the details!
It is time for us to throw caution to the wind and invite you to show us what you feel captures “my Tall Tails”. We want as many contributions as possible so we have split the event into two parts:
Open submission: where all the pictures will be displayed at the Exhibit and we all can enjoy the great and creative work of everyone.
Art Competition: We encourage you to enter the picture into the actual competition as well.
The awards for the competition will be split into two sections, the People's Choice and Judges Choice competitions.
The exhibits will be available from day one of Week of Madness, Saturday the 25th of May until the day of the Ceremony, Sunday the 2nd of July. The public Vote will end at 8:00 AM SLT and the ceremony will start at 12 PM SLT. We have a beautiful tent prepared for the easels so drop by and see where your art will end up on display! All Artwork will be displayed there and the ones who enter the completion are marked with a VOTE button. We're also putting the winners of the previous Week of Madness Art Competition on display to get your creative juices flowing, but be aware these are not a part of the current competition.
Please be aware that TP might be limited while other competitions are going on.
¶ How Can I Take Part?
To submit your artwork:
We are happy that you are interested in joining the exhibit! Please fill out the form below in a notecard and attach a picture you would like to submit (make sure it's Full Perm!) and drop it in the Red Mailbox at the Barn at Tall Tails Meadow, pictured above.

Tall Tails feels for some of you home, many come here cause they like Tall Tails as the community or just for the landscape. That is why we want to invite you to best describe what you feel captures “my Tall Tails”.
The closing date for the entries is Friday the 24th at 8PM SLT

Remember to attach full perm picture to this notecard in any format no larger than 2048:2048 pixels and please tell us the estimate Frame ratio for the display of your work.
Well we always talk about Pictures but that should not exclude any other form of Art that can be displayed in an equal way to a Photo on an easel.
¶ What Will Happen at the Event
As you may have noted, the Exhibit will be part of the Week of Madness, and to give the artists a chance to show off there art, they will be available for viewing and voting a few days before the event.
¶ People's Choice
Starting on Saturday, 25/05/2024, all the artwork submitted to the competition will be on display at the art gallery on the Week of Madness area, everyone is welcome to come and look and voting will be open for all. Every person will be given 3 votes that they can give to any image that they wish. Each vote is worth a different amount of points.
Vote 1= 3 Points
Vote 2 = 2 Points
Vote 3 = 1 Point
Please note that once you have voted you can not remove your vote, so be sure you are happy with your choice before confirming the vote. If you wish to change your vote you must contact Magic . A change of vote will only be done under very exceptional circumstances.
Also, all votes while anonymous to the public are monitored by the event supervisors. Any suspicious activity will be dealt with firmly.
The result of the vote will be announced during the main event on 04/06/2023 by Magic.

Judges Choice
The Judges Choice award will be the focus of the main event of the Art Exhibit & Competition. During the main event, the public will have the last chance to view and vote for the art on display, but it will also be the time that the unidentified judges will be out to view and select their favourite piece of art at the event.
There will be three judges, all of whom will be unknown to the public, and will they will also have three votes to distribute among the art just like the rest. The difference is that their top pick for the event will be awarded with a Judges Choice trophy.
Once the judges have made their choices, all awards will be handed out and the event will come to a close.
¶ What Are the Rules (Wait there are rules!)
Tall Tails is unique to all of us and we really like to hear what you feel about our home. We hope the theme of this event 'my Tall Tails' will show us a lighthearted look at a place we all hold so dear. Be it the ponyplay, the insanity of the trainers, the ongoing war between the Ponizei and the Ponifia or the craziness that seem to occur once in a while. We want to know just what makes this place so unique. For you.
If you wish to display a piece of art which is not a picture, then please speak with Magic.
The criteria for judging a picture will be equally weighed between how well the picture relates to the current theme, creativity and techniques applied. Obviously we cannot dictate how the group as a whole will vote.

The spiders have taken over the tunnels and a maids work is never done.... this picture emphasizes the struggle that everyone at TT has to go through and the creativeness that all at TT have to overcome the struggles

¶ An impeccable gem
TT, the only place in the world that can make me giggle and smile by just passing under a bridge.
I first discovered TT around WOM 2021 and was instantly amazed by the achievements of this incredible community. I remained active for about a year or 2 mainly as pony, deeply enjoying the experience. Although I haven't been as active recently, every time I return, I find something new that brings a smile to my face. Whether it's the stunning landscapes, the playful silliness, or the hidden gems around the place (see picture) with nods to the past, TT consistently showcases how wonderful Second Life can be thanks to its remarkable group of people. All of this makes me feel very happy and safe, just like a home should. ...

¶ Anything for Anyone
This is a place that for me represents so many things. Its a quiet place of beauty where I can go for walks and enjoy the scenery, always finding something new and interesting (Look at that sunset in the sky!). Its a place of chaos where you never know what is going to happen next (The poor tree!). Its a place of many different stories and events to take part in (Good luck catching the Stoats). But mostly, its a place that myself and others can be themselves and join the wonderful circus family we have gathered here (A bunbun ponyclown on a swing... yup that's about right).

¶ Average Day…
It shows my interpretation of Tall Tails as this was taken without asking people to pose and was of a typical whip circle. It includes a trainer posing on a stand, showing off to everyone, a couple pony's, one going the wrong way and the other dressed up silly.... and with Tall Tails main landmark, the windmill in the background.

¶ Happy Waiting
The picture is taken on pike, my favorite part of the farm. I live here as a puppy, mostly. I tried to create a happy scene, representing an integral part of puppy-life: Waiting patiently.

I'm still new, but these two old sillies capture what was the beginning of my TT journey from years ago, even though I've lurked in the background. Now we're neighbors and I'm starting to spread my wings and these two give me the push to meet everyone and get involved.

¶ Natural Attraction
Tall Tails first, and recurring impression on me has always been its beauty on display - that almost everywhere you turned was a photogenic vista. So much so that I felt the urge to take these candid photos of Shard standing upon the bridge with meadows arrayed behind her while we were out exploring the new build. It was later that I thought that this really showcased My Tall Tails

¶ Reflections of a pony
I glimpse the duality of my existence. As a soul drawn to ‘TT,’ I straddle the line between pony and trainer, shifting fluidly between realms. When I embody the pony, the hidden groom—the caretaker, the guide—retreats into the depths. It’s in this reflection that I see both sides of myself, locked in a delicate dance of transformation.
