AnaVision is on marketplace, or can be bought from in-world vendors. It is free for any registered Tall Tails staff or pony: click on the advertisement panel in the garage behind the stable to get it, but make sure your TT Nosering is not in pony or mare mode.
Note: if you just need the blindfold functionality without all the bells and whistles, for example for an achievement, there is a free blindfold available in the group gifts vendor, also in the garage. It is free for everyone including Tall Tails visitors. If you are a visitor, join the Tall Tails group and wear the tag.
AnaVision (short: AV) is the “swiss army knife” of visual control gadgets in SL: a lot of tools in one compact toy box. It is based on RLV and gives the keyholder maximum control over the wearer's visual experience. Think of masks, blindfolds, eye control, camera control, body worship, environment control, hypnosis and conditioning.
At Tall Tails, we use AV to tease and restrict our ponygirls/boys and mares, making their second life more challenging. Especially the mask and blindfold tools are useful for e.g. blind carting and blind flower. The mask tool has blinder presets and additional textures can be created and uploaded by the wearer or keyholder. So put on that blinder effect, add some restricting camera movement (forced mouselook, forced closeby camera etc) and you will have a happy mare. Some TT achievements require hiding of location/map/nearby radar. AV has the “Daze” restriction in the Option menu to accomplish that. Also, AV combines well with the TT Nosering. Together these toys will keep even the most demanding ponygirl/boy nicely in their docile and submissive state.
AV caters to more kinks than ponyplay, if you want to check it out see the online user manual, here:

¶ Tips and tricks
AV has some add-ons and goodies that might be useful for ponyplay and for creating light (script/memory wise) tacks:
- A simple lock script is provided to be added in any attachment. If AV is locked, that attachment will be locked upon the wearer too.
- From version 4.1 onward, a more advanced script is provided too, “AV-ReScript”, that enables you to script the behavior of any attachment like blindfold, gag, bridle, mask, hood etc. without scripting. To be used in non scripted items or to replace existing scripts. It uses a very simple language to create a recipe in a notecard. You can define your own buttons and actions that show/hide parts of the attachment, add sounds, animations, say text, add/remove any RLV restriction, control locking, open a menu on touch etc. You can use the lock, mask and blind status of AnaVison to change the looks of the attachment so it will work in sync with AnaVision. Example recipes and presets are included for a bridle, blindfold, mask, ponytail etc. Document is here.
- AV is basically a HUD attachment. But, using AV-ReScript you can make any modifiable blindfold into an AnaVision enabled blindfold. The blindfold will then act as a true blindfold, showing/hiding itself with AV blind settings. Similarly you can script an existing mask showing/hiding (parts of) the mesh based on the mask setting. If you click someones AV enabled blindfold the AV menu will open.
- The remote control displays the AV state of any pony around you and provides quick access to their AV. It has a spy view, switch to the pony's view instantly by clicking the “heart” button and see where they are looking at. It also displays their RLV restrictions: mask, picture, forced environment..
- There is a AV-ReNamer script in the goodies package to change your name in chat, respecting RLV related chat/emote restrictions of all your devices. Newest version also works in no-script sims.
- If you use the new vision setspheres on Firestorm, make sure you have these two graphics options switched ON: 1. Advanced Lighting (ALM) and 2. Anti Aliasing (at least 2x). See: https://jira.firestormviewer.org/browse/FIRE-30785
- If you use a picture or mask in combination with the setoverlay method this may not be displayed properly, where the mask overlay and/or the sphere blinding effect may disappear or you will get a black screen. See: https://jira.firestormviewer.org/browse/FIRE-30902
AnaVision tries to work around this bug as much as possible but still sometimes your screen will turn black. In this case, just switch off the Setoverlay option reverting back to using the prim.
Note: Kokua works fine! Both viewers have their pros and cons and I use them both. If you encounter a bug or weird effect, please tell me, but first be sure you have the latest viewer.
- An “access plugin” is available for TT Stable that allows any trainer/groom to take over the key and access AV immediately. It checks our off-world server back-end database for the right permissions.
- If you have the marketplace version, the TT Access plugin is available for free from the garage. If you grabbed the TT version for free from the stable, the access plugin is already installed and public mode has been set to off.
- Note there are two versions of the Tall Tails plugin:
- Until Version 3.3, a generic plugin is used that popups a dialog box asking the trainer to “ take the av key” or “take all keys” if multiple restraints have a similar plugin.
- From Version 3.4 onward, you can still use the old plugin, but by default a new lighter plugin is implemented that immediately shows the main menu. You cannot take “all keys” anymore with it. Which we never used much anyway.
- Access plugins for other sims/stables/communities may be available too. For example, an access plugin for SnR is available at SnR next to the AnaVision vendor there.
- It is possible to install multiple access plugins at the same time. Because we are one big kinky family and it doesn't matter on what sim you have your home/stall at any time.
